Who could not celebrate Earth Day today with the flowers coming out in full bloom, the weather starting to warm up, and sunshine becoming more plentiful! I've come to the conclusion that taking care of "the earth" means taking care of your personal environment, and the environment inside your body. Being mindful of what is put into the body, and mindful of how our behaviors affect the environmental ecology and the people around us socially. It's all part of creating a harmonious world.
I continue my odyssey here at the Optimum Health Insitute as a missionary. They are a bit short-handed these days, so I'm working extra hours, but on the plus side I've got a room all to myself. I'm very impressed with the programs that OHI has developed, and I believe my sister's life was changed by her short week-long immersion in the programs here. That is very gratifying to me.
In lieu of the radiation situation in Japan, we've been getting some inquiries not just about radiation protection, but more generally about electromagnetic pollution and what to do about it. Shay Arave has written a great article about the subject of EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field) stress, and has written about how a couple of our products are extremely effective at countering EMF stress.
I have to say my favorite is the Clean Sweep Energy Spray. I haven't seen it fail to "clean" the negativity out of a space, greatly reduce stress levels, and very shortly put smiles on faces. I do hope you'll check it out.
Until next time...
In vibrant health,
Shay Arave, President
Our Electrical World
At first I thought it was some visual weirdness with some neighbor's flashlight, then I realized that I was seeing an aurora borealis. It was faintly green with tinges of red, and sat right on the horizon, undulating slowly. Just then, there was the deep rumbling of far-off thunder. I looked at the coming thunderstorm and saw flickering cloud-to-cloud lightning flashing against dark blue nimbus clouds. The whole scene was awe inspiring. I had the aurora borealis on one side, the big thunderhead on the other. About a hour later, there was a real doozy of a storm, with hard winds, hail, and lots of lightning. One lightning strike split an old oak tree in a horse pasture about a half-mile from our house. These events got me thinking about how electrical Nature is. The aurora borealis caused by highly electrically-charged particles from the solar wind and cosmic rays; and the lightning caused by the static electricity from trillions of raindrops whizzing around inside a weather system. >>>> MORE
VIBRANT LIVING TIP OF THE WEEK
Cold Turkey on Sugar
The typical American eats the equivalent of about 31 teaspoons of sugar every day. This daily sugar intake totals almost 500 extra calories -- about 25% of the average person's caloric intake. This rate of sugar consumption adds up to about 2 to 3 pounds of sugar each week or 135 pounds per person per year. Natural sweeteners such as maple syrup, agave nectar, and brown rice syrup, seem pretty innocent but are still unnaturally concentrated sources of sugar when compared to the original food they are refined from. Sugar consumption is what makes the vast majority of Americans overweight and under-nourished. This one omnipresent, "feel good" substance is making almost every American sick. Refined sugar and simple carbohydrates are enormous contributors to, if not entirely responsible for, all of these health conditions: heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, depression, anxiety, tooth decay, premature aging, migraines, allergies, osteoporosis, digestive disorders, suppressed immunity, kidney damage, and hyperactivity--especially in children. So, throw out the sugar! Answer those cravings with the inspiration to feel better. And it's a pretty fast track, too! A patient with Crone's disease will notice significant improvement to his condition in 24 to 48 hours after completely abstaining from sugar. Drinking one soda per day can make a person 10 pounds fatter in one year. Imagine the potential weight loss for an overweight person that drinks 3 cans of soda per day! Going cold turkey on sugar is guaranteed to even out and enhance a person's energy and mood, and enable more mental clarity. Eliminating sugar will lower blood pressure for people with hypertension and normalize blood pressure for people that have episodes of extreme hypotension because low blood pressure and erratic sugar levels go hand in hand.
